Course Description

Leg 1 will be staged at the top of B Lift. Race starts at Broadway through  Timberline Trail. Participant will do one run on the trail onto the transition area, which is located at the bottom of F Lift.

Leg 2 is a 5 mile mountain biking around the resort, labeled as Trail #1 in white on the map. It will be a loop that starts and ends at the transition area. The trails are considered technical but rideable. They are all rugged singletrack and doubletracks with plenty of rocks, roots and a few bridges. The rider should also expect a few climbs, switch backs and downhills. Please note that the trail is not for beginners.

Here are the four videos which comprise the entire mountain bike portion of the X-Trifecta winter triathlon: Video 1, Video 2, Video 3 and Video 4.

Leg 3 is a 5K trail run around the resort. It will start at the transition area and end at the Bear Creek base lodge. A portion of the run course will be on gravel path and on snow tubing  tails. As you get closer to the finish line, it becomes pavement, which could be icy.
